about

The Vitality Five and V.E.A.C. Phonograph Co. present a new series of monthly "e-78" releases which harks back to the custom of releasing music on double-sided 78rpm shellac records.

This month's e78 features two interesting tunes - "Land of Cotton Blues" which in its original version features the first recorded jazz drum solo, and "That's no Bargain," an innovative tune by Red Nichols with a unique combination of sections and feels reflecting the modernist strain of late 1920s jazz.
